Tonight as I was putting the girls to bed Gigi asked why Jesus needed to die on the cross to take away our sins. I explained how sin separates us from God and causes death. Only when that sin is taken away can we be close to God again and go to live with Him when we die. And Jesus took our sin on himself when he died on the cross. That's why if we ask Jesus into our hearts and to forgive us of our sins and ask Him to be our king we become a Christian. Lana said, "I want to become a Christian!" I explained what that would mean and she said she understood! So, I asked Leya to join us in the room and Lana prayed to ask Jesus into her heart. I told her the angels were having a party for her and right now her name was being written in the book of life. I said, "Lana, you're now a Christian!" And she kept saying, "Yeah! I'm a Christian!" What a momentous occasion.
